Privacy & consent

This is a starter privacy notice. The project owner must review and customize it before real alumni are invited.

Information you submit

We may store your name, student ID, batch, professional history, education, a required LinkedIn profile URL, optional WhatsApp and separately opted-in public contact email, an optional public avatar URL, company/current-employment selections, academic contributions, and career tips. Login emails and password credentials are handled through the authentication provider (Supabase Auth); passwords are not stored in the public alumni profile table.

Who can see information?

Public directory entries appear only after administrator approval and only when you select "List my profile publicly". Student ID, WhatsApp and your optional public contact email are separately masked unless you opt in to each. Your Supabase Auth account email is never sent in public directory results. Verified-current company connections are counted only for approved, opted-in public profiles. Admin reviewers can view your submitted details even when the profile is unpublished.

Control and removal

You can edit your own profile and opt out of public visibility while signed in. To request complete account removal or correction beyond the profile editor, contact the administrator once official contact details are published. This project does not yet offer a self-service account deletion workflow.

Before launch

The administrator must add contact information, a data retention policy, export/deletion procedures, and a lawful basis/notice suitable for the actual community. Do not treat this draft as a legal compliance certification.
